Step into one of Europe’s most spectacular and still largely undiscovered mountain destinations on an unforgettable 8-day trekking adventure through Bosnia & Herzegovina. From the historic streets of Sarajevo and Mostar to the wild peaks, crystal-clear rivers and remote mountain villages of the Dinaric Alps, this is a journey made for those who want to experience Europe differently.

Our adventure begins in Sarajevo, where East meets West among Ottoman bazaars, Austro-Hungarian architecture and centuries of fascinating history. From here, we leave the city behind and head deep into the mountains for a series of spectacular guided treks through some of Bosnia’s most beautiful landscapes.

Trek from the traditional mountain village of Umoljani across Obalj to Lukomir, Bosnia’s highest and most remote village, dramatically positioned above the Rakitnica Canyon. Continue into the rugged Visočica Mountains, climbing towards Džamija Peak and enjoying sweeping panoramas across the surrounding ranges and valleys.

Then comes one of the great highlights of the journey – Prenj Mountain, often described as the Herzegovinian Himalayas. Trek through forest, limestone terrain and pristine wilderness beneath the dramatic peaks of Otiš and Zelena Glava, discovering why Prenj is regarded as one of Bosnia & Herzegovina’s most spectacular mountain regions.

Adventure continues away from the trails with an exhilarating white-water rafting experience on the Neretva River, followed by time to discover historic Mostar, its iconic UNESCO-listed Old Bridge and atmospheric old town. We also visit beautiful Blagaj, famous for its riverside setting and striking natural scenery. For those wanting an extra adrenaline rush, optional canyoning and ziplining experiences are also available.

Back in the mountains, trek through Blidinje Nature Park and Čvrsnica Mountain to the famous Hajdučka Vrata, one of Bosnia & Herzegovina’s most extraordinary natural rock formations. Our final trek takes us into the Olympic Mountains, following forest trails, alpine meadows and mountain lakes before returning to Sarajevo for our final evening together.

Throughout the journey, enjoy the warmth of Bosnian hospitality, traditional cuisine and memorable evenings including a special Bosnian Night with folklore and local dinner, together with a fun 80s-themed pool party.
